HISTORY          
TWENTY SEVEN YEARS OF TRIUMPHS Cognizant of the growing need for a fast, reliable and efficient information delivery in the country’s emerging IT market, A group of dynamic businessmen and professionals established Questronix Corporation in 1987.
Questronix Corporation recognized a huge IT market by focusing on the Open Systems Technology. In 1990, gearing up to industry competition, it was appointed by IBM as its first business partner for RS/6000 (now known as System p). Within years, the company emerged as one of IBM’s leading business partners having been instrumental in making System p a dominant platform.
In its first three years as a reseller of RS/6000 with a market level of zero, Questronix Corporation achieved a market share of at least 30% of the UNIX Server in the Philippine market. Given this successful scenario in the competitive UNIX market, IBM inevitably decided to authorize Questronix Corporation as a reseller of other IBM products such as AS/400 and PC Servers. Moreover, Questronix Corporation was also declared as one of the pioneers of the IBM BEST TEAM Software Program, a program initiated by IBM itself to promote its software products through channels.
Consequently, Questronix Corporation was appointed by IBM as its only Business Partner in the Philippines (and the whole of Asia) to provide first level maintenance support to all IBM RS/6000 customers in the country.
IBM over time has observed and recognized the improving skills and expertise of Questronix in providing technical support and expertise in the IBM products it carries.
To date, Questronix’s RS/6000 (System p) client base accounts for more than 80% of IBM’s UNIX-based computing platform. Questronix takes pride in being recognized as the biggest and the only RS/6000 (System p) maintenance service provider.
