Jucom Group of Companies is a family enterprise that started in 1969; it was engaged in trading commodities such as sugar and rice in Divisoria, Manila. Today, it is diversified in to three business units namely: a garment’s labels accessories manufacturing unit, a food service unit and the largest of the three, a packaging solutions unit. The first, All-Star Techno System is primarily engaged in the design and manufacturing of garment labels for domestic and export market. The second are franchised Hap Chan restaurants that currently operate two branches, one in SM Manila and the other in Lipa City, Batangas. And lastly, Jucom Trading, Myto Marketing and BQ Industrial, which are all engaged in the manufacturing, distribution and marketing of generic non-branded plastic and paper packaging products.
The packaging division holds the largest share of business activities for JGC. Products range from primary and secondary packaging; food and beverage packaging; other miscellaneous packaging and agriculture packaging and other agriculture plastics that cater to micro, small and medium enterprises in the retail, food service and agriculture sector. It distributes packaging throughout the country from Luzon to Mindanao.
JGC has a manpower complement of more than 300 employees as of end of 2016 with 90% of that are involved in packaging division operations. The manufacturing facility is located in Valenzuela City, while sales offices and the distribution center are in Divisoria, Manila.
