In 1965, an enterprising young lady by the name of Jovita Cruz
Rodriguez established a construction materials supplier firm with the
name JOVITA CRUZ GRAVEL & SAND; followed by another firm she named J. C. RODRIGUEZ CONSTRUCTION. Both were established as single proprietorships.
The early years of the two companies were marked by patient plodding,
with supply of aggregates (gravel and sand) as its bread-and-butter.
Patiently, the owners saw to the steady growth of the companies, not
only taking care to hire competent and dedicated professionals but also
slowly acquiring equipment so that when the 1980s came, they were ready
to take on bigger projects such as concreting of roads and modest sized
land development projects.
By 1987, the volume of both businesses had grown so much that it
became advisable to incorporate. Thus, on July 31, 1987, a merging of
the operations of the two companies gave birth to
J.C. RODRIGUEZ CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION.
The construction division has accounted for over thirty-eight major
projects not counting those before incorporation, thereby greatly
contributing to the revenues of JCRCC as well as ably serving the needs
of such clients as: Extra Ordinary Development Corporation, Filinvest
Development Corporation, Sta. Lucia Realty and Development Corporation,
Acerhomes Development Corporation, Landco Pacific Corporation, Camella
Homes-Palmera Homes, and Active Realty and Development Corporation.
